FO Subject Description The online community I intend to observe is a snark page on this old family channel called 8 passengers. The community is on Reddit, and it’s called r/8passenegerssnark. The community is for people to talk about Ruby Franke and Kevin Franke who originally owned a family channel where they will film their lives including their 6 children, they then stopped vlogging. Multi-modal translation Plan
MMT PLAN I will make a slideshow to show pictures and main points or questions. And I will explain my topic as a scenario. A scenario making the audience question what they will do or feel if you were discriminated against in your job just because of your gender. I will explain it in more simple terms or even a way that will make the audience question why there is discrimination. Make the discrimination sound dumb or unreasonable. I will involve questions throughout the presentation to make the audience question or just to make their own thoughts/ opinions when listening. …
Multi-Modal translation and Rationale
Rationale The reason I picked a slide show showing different types of scenarios with pictures was because it felt it would draw the most attention. Have a lot of pictures will keep the audience engaged. Having questions throughout the slide show with each scenario will have the audience thinking about what is being said. Because sometimes when looking at a slide show you forget the information halfway through since it might seem like a lot. Making it short and interactive makes it more memorable than something very long and boring. That’s the reason I picked showing the topic in scenarios …
